Mission Statement

Mission Statement: I will develop the higher level thinking skills of all students. I will create an environment for my students that encourages creative thinking, problem solving, and risk-taking. My students will gain knowledge of art and culture throughout history and the modern world. My students will use the elements and principles of art and design to create a portfolio of original works of art. My students will evaluate their work and the work of others.

  1. I usually paint out pottery with acrylics as I can't use glazes, but wouldn't have thought to paint clay with watercolors! The colors are really delicate - a whole new look! Thanks for a new idea to try, Elizabeth :)

  2. thank you--I didn't have enough acrylic so I tried watercolor and I like it. The colors are so soft! I think if I put an acrylic sealer on these, they'll look great :)

  3. Have you fired the coil pots first? I have used water colour with a brush on fired clay and rubbed it off leaving the colour in the cracks. That was effective. Your method is great. I'd like to try this. Thanks.
